Transcript from the Episode

When it comes to increasing your social media presence is that you got to talk about it. And in this video, what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you the simplest way of talking about your social media channel that so many of you are not doing.

So my name is Mark Simpson, I'm the founder of a company called Boostly, my goal over the course of the next 20 years is to help 1 million hosts increase their direct bookings. And I provide daily training lessons videos, and podcasts and blogs. And my big goal is to help you. So if this has helped you in any way, shape, or form, please tell another host about what we're doing share in Facebook groups an email or a text message or share it somewhere online, it really does help.

How to promote your social media channel

So today, what I'm going to talk about is the promotion of your channel. So what I'm going to talk about is the promotion of your channel. And again, it's something that so many people don't do. And the simplest, easiest way to drive people back to your social media is to add it to your email signature. Again, so many people don't do this. But underneath, where you've got your email, you've got the option to add a signature. And so many people add their website or x, y and Zed, but nobody adds their favourite social media channels.

So if I was wanting to drive everybody to Facebook, I will put the link to our Facebook business page, if we want to send people to Instagram, again, the same thing, and it's really easy to do. Think about the number of times you send an email, think about the number of times that a guest contacts you or you got to contact somebody, by sending them that link and putting it in a signature, you are actively promoting and talking about it every single day.

Now, even further than that, if you want to go up the ladder, if you have got a lead generation tool, or an opt in form for an email list where you will give guests, for example, a five places to come and check out in Scarborough or wherever you are based, then that's even better because you're driving people back to your email list. And I will talk about that in a later lesson.

But today's video and today's short little message I want to spread to you is number one, talk about where your channels are. The simplest thing that you can do right now is put it in your email signature and if you haven't done so, go and do it now. It literally take one minute to do. It's easier on Gmail and all of Google Mail and all other things, but anybody can do it. Just go and check out with your own provider how you can add an email signature and put a link into your social media channel of choice.
