Transcript from the Episode

Welcome back to the Boostly podcast. And I'm going to do something a little bit different over the upcoming episodes. I have been wanting to test something for quite a while now. I've been, since January the first, no longer in the hospitality business. Now what do I mean by that, we're a family business. The Grainary was finally after many years sold to a young family. My parents wanted to retire. And you know, Boostly is just overtaking everything at the moment. So I've been stepping away. But I really wanted to keep fresh, I really want to make sure that the tactics and the tips that I teach are still relevant and have an impact. And I really wanted to do something new.

And there's an idea that I've had for quite a while and I'm not ready to launch it just yet. But I wanted to test it to see if it works. And I reached out to a couple that I know here locally in Javier. And we've had a couple of coffee meetups real nice couple loved the story and everything about them. They know some good people that I know. And it was upon the last conversation I had with them when I noticed that one of their apartments they were finding tricky to get booked out. So on one of my meditation sessions, when enough this idea came to my head, and I reached out to him send him a WhatsApp and I said, here's an idea. That apartment you're finding tricky to shift, how about at no charge, we do a little test and I explain what the test is, and work for it. So today we've just met and bearing in mind I'm recording this a couple of weeks. This is the 15th of June, I'm recording this. So by the time you come to see this, this is going to be about the fourth or the fifth of July. So hopefully by the time you come to see these episodes, the apartment has been booked out. So let's see if this test we're going to do real-life examples.

The case study

So what am I going to do? Well, I'm going to go in and I am going to tweak the business. Now the best way I described it to him is just like when you take your car in for a service, you get the oil change, the tires are checked, a car is checked, it is given a little bit of a tuneup. So it's ready to go and it's firing. And when you do that, more often than not, you don't do it yourself, you say it and send it to an expert. And the thing that I'm trying to create and the idea is the name it keeps coming to my head is the Boostly tuneup or the Boostly service.

This is what we're basically going to do, I'm going to go in, and I'm going to have a total. You know, I'm not stuck in the balls, I'm not working on the inside out. so to speak, I'm having an overview of everything, I'm just going to go in and have a total look at the listing, we're going to look at where the best places that they need to be marketing, and have a look at everything, including website and emails and social media and the listing sites. And I'll just give it a tuneup, from what I know from what the algorithms are looking for what potential guests are looking for, and we'll just delve into a few things.

So I'm going to show you I'm going to document to you as I do this. Now, hopefully, you'll be able to pick up some inspiration and you'll be able to go Okay, so I need to go in and tune and tweak this. But what I want to stress to everybody is that what I do for them, isn't going to be the same thing that I would do for you. It all depends on location, your niche, who you're appealing to, you know, prices, availability, every business is different. But I wanted to document this to just show you what I do, how I would do it, if I was going to be working.

Okay. So again, please don't try and copy this word for word because it won't work for you. But just try and take inspiration. So I'm going to keep come back to this series over these podcast episodes. It might be every day, it might be once every few days. Depends on what I've got to show you.

About Casa4U

The management company that they have set up here in Costa Blanca, they know who their niche is, they know who their target audiences very clearly, and they've got some really nice properties on board. Thankfully, they are going to be moving away from Lodgify and are going to be moving to another PMS, I won't tell you who that is just in case, I don't want to tell you who it is. So we're very limited in what we can actually do on the lodgify website. Right now. We've obviously spoken about Boostly websites. And later on in a year, we are going to help them with a Boostly website. But this is this is what we have. So part the first thing that I did. And the first thing that I recommend everybody to do if you're in a situation is I showed him a video I gave him some homework. So those of you that have been following me for a while, you'll know that this video right here boostly.co.uk/listingsites, is something that I've done right from day one. And it's a really good exercise that you can do that will help you to decide on where to list your property. Because as I've always said, You can't just put your eggs in one basket so to speak, you do have to be able to make sure that you are multi-channel and multi present.

So this exercise, what it does, and what it shows you how to do is how to make sure that you're appearing on the most popular searches in your area, your niche and in your location. So that's one of the first things. So we've done that. Now what we're going to do next, what I'm going to do over the coming days, is I'm going to show you, me going into the listings, and I'm going to show you how I tweak things x, y and Zed and some things that we're going to set up behind the scenes.

So that's what we're going to be doing super exciting. I'm excited to to to share this with you. And if you feel like you would like for me to do this service for you, then just send me a message at [email protected] the subject headline will be Boostly tune-up. I haven't come up with the product. I haven't come up with the price. But if I get a lot of interest, then I will offer this service in the future. So if you feel like this is something that you would like and again, I'm not announcing this anywhere else apart from the podcast. So again, if you would like to be one of the first then please let me know.
