Welcome back, everybody to another episode of the Boostly podcast. My name is Mark Simpson and I give host just like you the tools or tactics or training and the confidence to get more bookings. And confidence is a big part of what today's podcast is all about.
I want to break down for you the difference between two companies that have definitely come on the radar this year, and one that you need to know about. So we have got in one corner we have got guard hog, and in the other corner, we have got Superhog.
Now it could be very confusing when you first hear the names and to think that they are the same companies, but they are under the same umbrella. But they do two very different things. So let me just show my screen. So you will know what I am talking about.
Guardhog and Superhog
We have got in the left, we've got guard hog, and on the right, we have got super hog. Now the best way to describe super hog, and guard hog is that super hog is the prevention, the prevention is sometimes better than the protection. Okay. Now what superhog does is that when you have a booking, there is a guest screening process that will happen all for the technology and the API that super hog have have created.
One of the main reasons why this is so important is that when you have a guest book with you, especially when it comes from an OTA you haven't got a clue if that person is going to be the person that's coming to stay. Now, what has happened massively over the last year with lockdowns with restrictions with nightclubs not being open, is that people are booking Airbnb is that booking apartments, the booking, basically properties and having massive parties in them.
Now, a lot of you will have systems and structures and things in place to prevent this, but a lot of you don't. And this is where Superhog came in. And this is why it's such an important and powerful platform. And this is why I absolutely love it. And I've been raving about it. And I've been very fortunate over the last couple of months to get to know the team even better. And I wanted to do a little shout out to him, I wanted to just spread the awareness, because I know podcasts like this always go down really well.
