In today's lesson, podcast, video, whatever you want to call it, we're going to talk about some big news from Google. So a couple of weeks ago, they announced that they are going to be swapping and changing and revolutionising their Google Hotel Ads program. For those of you who don't know Google Hotel Ads, really simple. Go do a search on Google look for your place on Google business listing, and look at what appears you'll normally see booking.com, Expedia, TripAdvisor, etc, etc. And they pay to be listed on there, they pay per click.
Now there has been a case where some businesses can get in there. But it's very exclusive. You ever got to be a Google Hotel partner, which is very expensive, are you going to do it via your PMS. Now, this is changing massive news, everybody will be able to get a free link within them moving forward. So this is huge. Google business listing drives thousands upon thousands of traffic.

First and foremost, if you haven't got a Google business listing, go and get one, it's free. But once you've got it, it's so ridiculously powerful. You don't even realize how many people actually see this. And now what you're able to do finally is have a clickable link to your website to your booking engine in Google business listing, in the Google Hotel Ads section and it's free, it won't cost you a penny.
But Google being Google and I love to make money, you can actually pay them to be ranked in the top three. Now the details are still scarce even at this point. But what I recommend for you to do is to check it out keep an eye open, make sure you're subscribed to this channel make sure you subscribe to the podcast make sure you're in the hospitality community. Ensure that you're part of the WhatsApp channel. And then you can get daily text messages and updates when there's big news to share.
